Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca was pleased with his team’s performance despite losing at home to defending champions Manchester City.
Maresca made his first official appearance for Chelsea after taking charge in the summer and was immediately faced with a tough task at home against defending champions Manchester City.
Despite having several chances to score, Chelsea were unable to find the back of the net and were beaten by Manchester City through Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic in front of their own fans.
“I think we fought very well for most of the game, if not better, it was close,” Maresca said after the game.
“The performance was good, but we didn’t take our chances. The biggest difference was probably in the penalty area. I’m quite happy with the performance.”
“For me, the most important thing is to create chances. We didn’t score, but we created chances. Their first goal was almost offside. We almost scored as well. These things can change the result, but the overall performance was good.”
“We’ve to face the defending champion today UFABET. We will continue our performance and win.”
“We had two or three chances. They are a master of keeping hold of the ball. The performance was there, and that is the main thing. Day by day, this team is getting better.”
